“Fashion is part of the daily air and it changes all the time, with all the events. You can even see the approaching of a revolution in clothes. You can see and feel everything in clothes” ©

From researcher to model: and so I decided to do a photo shoot at my favourite spots in Accra, the places I visited most in order to find inspiration. Or, placed I would go to get myself even more vintage collectors items. In case you might ever find yourself in Accra, please visit Kantamanto market, you will love it!
Kantamanto basically consists of one big clothing pile. Items, mostly from the UK, the US or South-Korea, are traded daily. New items usually arrive on Wednesdays or Saturdays. There is a special technique in order to find the things you weren't looking for. Go through a pile from down under, pulling the items back up. And, do not forget to bargain.
Kantamanto photoshoot photographed by Kwaku Gyabaa and TJ Letsa from
hatehasnomedicine in Accra, Ghana. Clothing by:
K'NAF Couture, DeDo,
Mina Evans,
Christie Brown, Duaba Serwa and
ajePomaa Design Gallery.
