"It (orientalism red.) is a faraway land of nostalgic dreams, where the geometric patterns of traditional costumes weave themselves into a patchwork that is as private and intimate as personal memories" ©Dries van Noten.
When visiting Paris in Spring this year, we visited the exhibition 'Inspirations' at Les Arts Decoratifs. I was bedazzled by the beauty and richness of his designs. I still very well remember my first purchase in Antwerp. Buying my first Dries van Noten item felt like falling in love for the first time. I'm serious, I love his prints, fabric use, the wearability of his ready-to-wear items and his references and preferences when it comes to sources of inspiration. I am fan!
